About NEA's Collective Bargaining and Member Advocacy Department
NEA's Collective Bargaining and Member Advocacy Department advocates for, protects, enhances, and promotes members' rights and economic security through programs focused on collective bargaining, salaries, pensions, health benefits, and legal services. It also supports students and communities by identifying and working toward shared interests and by providing grants to affiliates to design and implement student-centered initiatives through collective bargaining or other forms of advocacy.
The Department is located in NEA's Center for Advocacy, which creates opportunities for educators to drive decision-making about federal, state, and local policy that strengthens the educational experiences of every student, elevates the education professions, and protects public education.
The site is designed for national, state, and local staff, and we generally coordinate with state and local affiliates on questions of access.
Here is where you'll find the Department's contract databases and our resources on labor law, bargaining, compensation, pensions, health benefits, and health policy.
